Kaitlin Spurling concentrates her practice on mergers and acquisitions, emerging company, venture capital, and private equity matters. She works on deals with clients ranging from small startups and family run businesses to large private entities. Kaitlin has represented clients on both the buy and sell-side of complex corporate transactions including venture capital financings, debt and equity financings, asset sales, and stock purchases. She has also assisted in providing guidance to private companies on matters relating to corporate governance and equity compensation.
Kaitlin’s practice focuses on a wide variety of industry sectors including sports, healthcare, life sciences, technology, software, and biotech. She enjoys helping companies find financing and growth equity opportunities to expand their business over time, allowing them to reach bigger milestones.
Prior to joining the firm, Kaitlin served as an associate at a Boston-based law firm. During law school, Kaitlin worked as a paralegal for a small international firm in Boston that primarily represented emerging companies and early-stage ventures from initial formation to seed-stage and debt-based fundraising.
While getting her B.A., Kaitlin received All-Academic honors from the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) as a member of the Harvard women’s ice hockey team. Following her undergraduate studies, Kaitlin continued her athletic endeavors both abroad, in Vienna, Austria where she played semi-professionally, and in the United States, where she played for an emerging women’s professional team.
Outside the Firm
Kaitlin enjoys serving as a head women’s hockey coach at the Boston Junior Eagles club team and as a volunteer assistant coach for the girl’s hockey team at the high school she attended, Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts.
