Michael E. Donohue

Biography

Mike Donohue concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, and securities enforcement matters.

Mike has litigation experience in numerous areas, including complex commercial litigation, appellate litigation, and securities litigation. He previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Edgardo Ramos of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

During law school, Mike served as the lead executive editor for online of the Harvard International Law Journal and team captain of the Harvard Law School Mock Trial Association.

Prior to law school, Mike was an analyst for the New York Times Co. and McKinsey & Co.
 

Experience

  • A biomedical devices company and its majority shareholder in litigation brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • A pharmaceutical executive in an insider trading prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
  • Individuals in connection with a money-laundering investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
  • A company in the electric vehicle industry named as defendant in an investor-led securities-fraud and contract-breach action.

Mike has additionally served pro bono clients in prison conditions litigation at the trial and appellate levels, and clients in defense of claims brought under the Lanham Act. In previous roles, he has represented clients in appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Eighth, and D.C. Circuits and in the state courts of Hawai?i, Kentucky, and New York.
