Audrey F. Momanaee

Biography

Audrey Momanaee is an experienced trial lawyer working with clients on their most important and complex disputes. Audrey focuses on matters involving business disputes, commercial and contract claims, catastrophic property claims, construction defects and delays, and matters involving trade secret protection and litigation. She has also handled a number of internal investigations, and regularly provides pre-litigation counseling for clients, including those in the energy sector.

Audrey’s practice is generally in the state and federal courts of Texas as well as arbitrations both domestic and international. She counsels clients in a variety of industries including the energy, chemical refining, and manufacturing industries.

In addition to her experience handling disputes and investigations, Audrey has counseled clients about allocating risk in agreements and is a regular speaker on the issue of contractual risk allocation and indemnities.

While in law school, Audrey served as Staff Editor for the Texas Journal of Business Law, Executive Director for the Legal Research Board, and Treasurer of the Survivor Support Network. In college, she was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.

  • Individual defendants in significant litigation involving theft of trade secrets claims.

  • Defended a client against the payout of millions of dollars to the plaintiff arising out of an alleged business partnership.

Professional Activities

Audrey serves as a member of the Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation. She also serves as a member of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys Board of Directors. From 2016 to 2018, Audrey served as a board member for the Association of Iranian-American Professionals and has served as a national board member for the Iranian American Bar Association.

Audrey is president of the Houston Independent School District School Board, a member of the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Board of Directors, and a member of the Community Family Centers Board of Directors.
