Thomas H. Stewart

Biography

Tom Stewart concentrates his practice in the area of litigation in a wide range of matters including:

  • Commercial and corporate litigation
  • Real estate litigation
  • Asbestos defense litigation
  • Financing and mortgage litigation

Tom is experienced in all phases of trial work in state and federal court, including discovery, motion practice, oral argument, settlement negotiations, trial, post-trial, and appellate work. He has practiced law in the Greater Cincinnati area for nearly 20 years and managed litigation in courts across the country.

As a member of the Financial Institutions Litigation and Regulatory Compliance (“FILARC”) group, Tom regularly represents lenders and financial institutions in a variety of consumer financial services  litigation matters in federal and state court, including disputes under TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA and FDCPA, state law UDAP claims, and a variety of common law claims.

Tom attended University of Cincinnati College of Law where he published two articles in the University of Cincinnati Law Review and served as student articles chair.

After college and before law school, Tom served as an officer in the United States Navy and then in the Reserves, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Professional Activities

For 15 years, Tom has served as a legal adviser for the Reading High School Mock Trial Team.

He was also a past president for the Fallsington Grant Homeowners Association.
