Adam has also successfully defended individuals and companies in agency and grand jury investigations, enforcement actions, criminal proceedings, and appeals.
Government Contracts
Adam represents companies in bid protests before the Government Accountability Office (“GAO”) and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, in cases involving billions of dollars of contract awards. Adam has a track record of obtaining favorable merits decisions and corrective action.
Antitrust Litigation
Adam has significant experience representing corporate clients in complex antitrust disputes involving allegations of price fixing, monopolization, market allocation, tying, and price discrimination. His practice includes the defense of federal and state antitrust claims in individual and class actions alleging billions of dollars in damages.
False Claims Act Litigation
Adam represents companies in actions brought under the False Claims Act by private qui tam plaintiffs, as well as government investigations and enforcement actions. He has handled such cases for clients in a number of industries, including defense, healthcare, and information technology. Adam has obtained dismissals and favorable settlements in actions implicating hundreds of millions of dollars of potential exposure.
In 2017, Adam co-authored the chapter “Threshold Defenses” in The False Claims Act and Government Contracts: The Intersection of Federal Government Contracts, Administrative Law, and Civil Fraud (ABA Book Publishing, 2017).
