Tara Laster Marcus

Biography

Tara Marcus concentrates her practice in patent prosecution, opinions, licensing, and litigation, primarily in the areas of mechanical and electro-mechanical arts. Her practice encompasses counseling clients regarding:

  • Intellectual property strategies and management
  • Patent infringement
  • State of the art and market clearance
  • Patent validity 

Tara also served as a special master assistant in patent cases before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

Prior to entering private practice, Tara served as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She published "Patent Rights Under U.S. Government Contracts" in Intellectual Property Today.
