Summer Associates and Pro Bono

All of our summer associates are introduced to the pro bono program and are invited to participate in pro bono projects, where they are considered an integral part of the team.  Summer associates have worked on matters as varied as asylum cases, child custody, domestic violence, estate planning for low-income senior citizens, formation of nonprofit entities that help underserved populations, law reform legislative drafting, and a death penalty appeal.

First-year law students who spend a summer with us and receive and accept our offer to return for a second summer are also offered a Blank Rome Public Interest Fellowship.  This fellowship allows students to spend half their second summer working at a law-related public interest organization while being paid by Blank Rome.
