Blank Rome’s Peter Jost Receives CAG’s William A. Cochran Award

Blank Rome LLP Senior Counsel Peter Jost was honored with the William A. Cochran Award by the Citizens Association of Georgetown (“CAG”) on Tuesday, May 24, for his “exceptional efforts to protect and enhance the community's parkland and architectural resources.” The award was presented to Mr. Jost during CAG’s annual awards reception at Georgetown Visitation.

CAG is a nonprofit civic organization representing the interests of Georgetown residents through vigorous advocacy and programs to make Georgetown safer, more beautiful, and more connected. To learn more, please visit www.cagtown.org.

At Blank Rome, Mr. Jost concentrates his broad-based global practice on international and domestic transactional and project matters, with specific emphasis on advising clients on structuring ventures that require multijurisdictional knowledge and the combination of tax, corporate, commercial, real estate, project finance, and administrative skills.

Mr. Jost currently serves both as the president and a trustee of the Foundation for the Preservation of Historic Georgetown, an organization that accepts conservation easements on property located in the historic area of Georgetown in Washington, D.C. He also is a former board member of Friends of Volta Park, Inc., another Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) organization that is chartered to restore and beautify Volta Park and other public facilities in Washington, D.C. He previously served as president, and currently serves as general counsel, of the Canadian American Business Council, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, issues-oriented organization dedicated to elevating the private sector perspective on issues that affect Canada and the United States.
