Blank Rome’s Alan Freeman Commits Leadership to the Charles E. Smith Life Communities

Blank Rome Partner Alan Freeman is a proud and active member of the Board of Governors of Charles E. Smith Life Communities, a non-profit organization including the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, which has provided elderly support services and quality care through each of its single-campus, senior living communities in the Washington, D.C. metro area since 1910. In addition to serving on the Board of Governors, Mr. Freeman is president of the organization’s Housing Boards, which include Ring House, Revitz House, Landow House and Cohen-Rosen House.

In December, Mr. Freeman will complete his two-year term as co-chair of the organization’s annual Guardian Campaign, which raises money to support the services and medical care that have made the organization a premier local resource for seniors and their families. The Campaign has already raised nearly $1 million through its annual fundraising efforts, which culminated in the signature President’s Circle dinner at the National Archives in November, and the Starlight donor event at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in December.

“I’m very proud of the quality of care that the residents of Charles E. Smith Life Communities receive,” Mr. Freeman said, speaking on his involvement with the organization. “The funds raised each year through the Guardian Campaign realize our mission, which is to fulfill Jewish values by providing a continuum of quality services for seniors and their families, and to affirm our commitment to the dignity of each individual.”

Recently, Charles E. Smith Life Communities ranked 7th on the list of the Nation’s 100 largest non-profit, single-campus senior living communities, and was named a Top Pick in the Best Senior Community category in Bethesda Magazine’s Best of Bethesda rankings.
