Blank Rome Represents Broadview Development Co. in Complex Historic Tax Credit Real Estate Transaction

Blank Rome is pleased to announce that a tax credit team successfully represented Broadview Development Co., LLC, an Ohio-based real estate developer, on the closing of a $30 million complex historic tax credit real estate transaction that will convert a blighted, environmentally-wrecked community located 10 blocks from downtown Canton, OH, into a community development and urban renewal.

The closing involved traditional bank debt, federal historic tax credits, state historic tax credits, and brownfield grants from the State of Ohio. The project’s first phase will consist of 125,000 square feet of new residential rental apartments, and will be followed by retail, restaurant, and office space, as well as additional residential offerings.

The Blank Rome team was led by Michael Sanders, with assistance from Dustin Lauermann and Steven Dinolfo.
