Jeanne Grasso Featured Speaker at Ferries 2006 Conference

Jeanne Grasso, partner in the maritime practice group, will speak on “What money is available for ferries in TEA-LU?” at the Ferries 2006 Conference in Delray Beach, Florida November 6-8.

Now in its 19th year, the Ferries conference is a vital forum for ferry owners, operators, designers, builders, regulators and suppliers to network and share ideas.

Ms. Grasso focuses her practice in the areas of maritime and environmental law. Her practice involves issues confronting manufacturing facilities, vessels, and cargo owners on an international, federal, and state level, including issues associated with the Clean Water Act, the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, the Maritime Transportation Security Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Ms. Grasso has extensive experience in compliance counseling and in defending companies in criminal, civil, and administrative enforcement actions involving federal and state agencies, including the Department of Justice, the U.S. Coast Guard, Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Defense, the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Her involvement in enforcement actions commonly includes crisis management, conducting internal investigations, negotiating with government agencies, and handling grand jury and other investigations, as well as compliance counseling.
