A Conversation with Nationally Renowned Journalists

In honor of Black History Month, Blank Rome LLP held an insightful conversation about politics, the change in administration, and the media on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 4:30 p.m., in the Firm’s Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. offices. The panel featured Yamiche Alcindor, national reporter for The New York Times; Erica Brown, multimedia journalist for CBS News; and Harold Jackson, editorial page editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
|Yamiche Alcindor is a national reporter for The New York Times who covers politics and social justice issues. Since joining The New York Times in 2015, she's traveled extensively to cover the presidential campaigns of Donald J. Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders. She's also written about the legacy of President Obama, outreach to voters of color, and the anxiety of working class Americans, as well as how police killings affect communities and children.|
|Harold Jackson, editorial page editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer since 2007, has also worked for the Birmingham Post-Herald, United Press International, Birmingham News, and Baltimore Sun. A recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing, he has also received the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists Trailblazer Award, the Journalist of the Year award from the National Association of Black Journalists, and other prestigious journalism awards.|
|Erica Brown is a multimedia journalist for CBS News and served as an off-air reporter and associate producer for various CBS News platforms during the 2016 Presidential Campaign. Brown, who was one of seven CBS News journalists on the campaign trail full-time, traversed the United States and Puerto Rico covering former Democratic Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Tim Kaine, Dr. Ben Carson, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor John Kasich, and Governor Chris Christie.|
