8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Blank Rome Partner Sophia Lee will present at the National Diversity Council’s 5th Annual Women in Leadership Symposium themed, “Be Fearless: Influence, Innovate, & Inspire.” The symposium will be held on March 14, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Two Liberty Place in Philadelphia.
The focus of this annual event is to bring together a diverse mix of successful women leaders who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues will educate, inspire and encourage women to reflect on their own goals and status.
Ms. Lee’s program, “The Difference ‘Difference’ Makes–Double Minority Leadership” will cover issues of identity with regard to gender and race, will address the discourse of equality in the workplace, and will explore the following questions:
- How can leadership emerge from such a unique women of color perspective?
- What kinds of challenges do women of color face in the workplace and in their professional development?
- How does an organization benefit from the inclusion of such leaders in decision-making roles and positions of power?
