Responder Immunity in Marine Casualties

Blank Rome Maritime is proud to be a sponsor of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association's (NAMEPA) seminar, "Responder Immunity in Marine Casualties", on Wednesday, October 12, at The Harvard Club in New York City from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. 

The event will commence with a luncheon at 12 noon, which will feature RADM Kevin Cook, USCG, as the keynote speaker.  He will discuss "The Important Role of Private/Public Collaborations in Marine Casualty Response."

The seminar panel discussion will begin immediately following the luncheon at 1:30 p.m.  Jonathan K. Waldron, partner in Blank Rome's maritime group, will be moderating the panel discussion.  Panel members include:

  • John Witte, former President, American Salvage Association
  • Steve Candito, President, National Response Corporation
  • Mike Sample, Vice President and Chief Counsel, Marine Spill Response Corporation
  • LeRoy Lambert, The Standard Club
  • Rob Lorigan, Vice President, OSG Ship Management

This seminar is part of NAMEPA's" Environmental Intelligence in Maritime" series, whose purpose is to bring together stakeholders in the marine community to discuss concerns and actions that address marine environment protection. The goal of these discussions is to create greater awareness of the issues and the work that is being undertaken to mitigate potential problems, and to foster collaboration amongst the stakeholders.
