Professional Maritime Organizations
Jeanne M. Grasso, partner in Blank Rome's maritime group, will be speaking on a panel about "Professional Maritime Organizations" on Saturday, November 6, for the Women on the Water (WOW) Conference, held at the Texas Maritime Academy in Galveston, Texas, on November 4-6. There is a reception on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, November 5 is a full day of panels and discussions; and Saturday, November 6 is a half day ending at noon.
The "Professional Maritime Organizations" panel will be held on the morning of Saturday, November 6 and will focus on the advantages to be gained by women in the maritime field through membership and active participation in professional maritime associations.
WOW brings together cadets from the federal and state maritime academies with professional women who are leaders in different sectors of the maritime industry. The event is an opportunity for cadets to learn about the careers that are open to them directly from successful women and men, as well as to hear about current issues. This is also an opportunity for cadets and professionals alike to meet and network with others in the maritime industry.
