Second Annual Summer Associates’ Diversity Event

Maryland

On July 1, 2008, Blank Rome's Attorneys of Color group hosted the Firm's second Summer Associate Diversity Event at the home of partner Shawn Wright.  Ms. Wright is currently the hiring partner in the Washington, DC, office, and practices law in white collar, internal, and government investigations.

The Diversity Event was an opportunity for the summer associates of Blank Rome to speak one-on-one with attorneys, and build personal and professional connections for the future.  Afterwards, the summer associates' feedback was very positive and expressed pleasure to have the opportunity to meet attorneys of color form other offices.

*Summer Associate, as we use the term, connotes a law school student who has not yet applied for admission (other than law student admission under the rules of some jurisdictions for some kinds of matters) and has not yet been admitted to the bar of any state jurisdiction and who is therefore not yet legally qualified to practice law.
