Nicholas C. Harbist Appointed to ABA Leadership Role

Blank Rome LLP Partner Nicholas C. Harbist has been appointed Co-Executive Director of the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section, White Collar Crime Committee. In this role, Mr. Harbist will work with the Committee to set goals and policies, while creating educational programs, speaking and writing opportunities, membership growth initiatives, and networking events.
Mr. Harbist practices in Blank Rome’s Princeton, New Jersey and Philadelphia offices and concentrates his practice in complex litigation. He represents clients in many industries in matters related to healthcare fraud and abuse, defense contract fraud, securities and tax fraud, environmental crimes, antitrust and FCPA crimes, export crimes, and general business fraud; RICO antitrust, securities, trade secrets, healthcare and professional licensing litigation; corporate and internal investigations; corporate compliance programs; and Qui Tam/False Claims Act and whistleblower litigation.
Mr. Harbist is a member of numerous community and professional organizations. He has served as National Co-Chair of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee, Vice-Chair of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee for the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Criminal Law Section. He serves as a Trustee for the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for New Jersey, and as a board member of the Long-Range Planning Committee for the Justinian Society. Mr. Harbist also regularly writes and speaks on white collar criminal law topics.
