Blank Rome’s Barbara Linney to Present at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Export Readiness Seminar

Barbara D. Linney, Partner, Blank Rome LLP, will participate as a panelist in the Export Readiness Seminar hosted by The New Jersey Economic Development Authority on May 25 at the New Jersey State House Annex in Trenton, New Jersey. The seminar is designed to help educate companies that are considering expanding into international markets.

Ms. Linney will participate on the panel titled “Exporting – the Legal Ins and Outs – What you need to know,” which will take place at 10:30 am. Her presentation will focus on anti-corruption laws, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and export control laws and regulations, with an emphasis on defense trade controls.

At Blank Rome, Ms. Linney advises U.S. and foreign clients on international trade and business issues, including U.S. export controls, defense security requirements, international economic sanctions, domestic and international corporate transactions, proposed acquisitions under review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S., the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and anti-boycott regulations, and design and implementation of trade and security compliance programs. She is an active member and a past President of the Association of Women in International Trade, Inc. (WIIT-DC) and serves as pro bono general counsel to WIIT and Women in Federal Law Enforcement, Inc. (WIFLE).
