Intellectual Property Audit

Intangible Assets

Many companies do not even realize the potential of their intellectual property.  Blank Rome believes strongly that the creation of a comprehensive program for the protection and management of IP assets begins with an intellectual property audit which should be repeated annually.

Blank Rome attorneys study a client’s business, and conduct a survey of intellectual property assets.  The survey includes a review of registered marks, including status and title, common law marks, and the manner in which the client uses such marks.  We also identify assets that have not been adequately protected or may have significant unexplored licensing potential.  In addition, we identify assets that may not be worthy of continued protection and weaker areas in the client’s current intellectual property protection programs.
