Biography

CO-CHAIR, REAL ESTATE PRACTICE GROUP

Samuel Walker maintains a national practice in the area of real estate. His clients include private equity funds, public companies, real estate investment funds, financial institutions, developers, and landlords and tenants. Sam counsels clients in the following areas:

  • Sales, acquisitions, and development
  • Financing
  • Equity investments and joint ventures
  • Commercial leasing
  • Workouts and restructuring

Sam also has extensive experience in advising tenants in national and regional leasing roll-out programs. He has successfully completed over 200 leases in the past four years for his clients.

He is a frequent lecturer and author on topics of interest in the real estate industry, including most recently on work-outs and restructuring.

Outside the Firm

Sam loves to play golf and tennis and ski. He was the captain of his college tennis team at Hamilton College and continues to hold several school records, including most victories.

  • Jenel Management, in national retail leasing, including projects at 65 Oak Street, Chicago, Illinois, 80 Wooster Street, New York and 140 West 34th Street, New York.
  • A public company landlord in two national office leases to a Fortune 100 company consisting of over 2mm square feet in the aggregate.
  • Ginsburg Development, in acquisition and construction projects, including the recent purchase of a White Plains office building and a Westchester multifamily project.
  • A national fitness company, in its regional and national lease expansion with respect to numerous brands.
  • An urgent care provider, in its tri-state leasing roll-out.
  • A dermatology provider, in its tri-state leasing roll-out.
