Jeffrey Chi concentrates his practice on patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical, computer, and software industries.
Mr. Chi has experience prosecuting and obtaining patents for clients involving computer and electrical technology that include LTE and Wi-Fi radio protocols, neural networks, computer memory, and operating system software. His experience includes prosecuting high-value patent applications with complex prosecution issues before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, such as patent applications for inventions that have been adopted by standards-setting organizations.
During law school, Mr. Chi served as an online editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, and was a member of the Giles Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court team. Additionally, Mr. Chi also served as a judicial intern for Justice Boyce of the 14th Court of Appeals of Texas, and Judge Kirkland of the 215th Judicial District Court of Texas. Prior to law school, he worked as a software development engineer at Microsoft.
