Robert Higgins focuses his nationwide practice on securities, insurance, and general business litigation. With more than 35 years of experience, he has tried more than 100 jury trials.
Mr. Higgins began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable William B. Jones, former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and then spent four years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
Mr. Higgins is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
COMMUNITY SERVICE & AFFILIATIONS
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Mr. Higgins is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. For more than 30 years, he has been active serving the Judges of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and from 1974 to 2008, he was a member of the Advisory Committee on Rules, which acts as counsel to the District Court in connection with the drafting and passage of all local court rules.
