Antonio Burrell concentrates his practice on general litigation and environmental and healthcare regulatory matters. Mr. Burrell provides legal counsel to clients in a wide range of complex corporate, commercial litigation, and compliance issues.

During law school Mr. Burrell served as president of the Black Law Students Association and as a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Committee. Mr. Burrell also worked as an extern at SeniorLAW Center assisting seniors in contractor disputes, tangled title matters, and unfair trade and deceptive practices claims in SeniorLaw’s Homeowner’s Assistance Program.

Prior to law school, Mr. Burrell worked as a probation officer for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.


REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Represented an energy company in a complex breach of contract litigation relating to fracking services resulting in a multimillion dollar settlement.
  • Advise an insurance regulator and healthcare insurers regarding enforcement of, and compliance with, federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Represent a medical device company in a high-profile litigation involving multiple defendants.
  • Advise clients regarding state and local environmental compliance issues in the sale, purchase, and remediation of commercial property.

COMMUNITY SERVICE & AFFILIATIONS

In 2015, Mr. Burrell was a co-recipient of the First Judicial District’s Distinguished Pro Bono Award for his representation of a World War II veteran who was defrauded in a scam and rendered homeless. He was named to the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania Pro Bono Roll of Honor in 2014 and 2015 for his work on behalf of indigent clients and serves as a board member and co-chair of the Mentoring Committee for Villanova University School of Law’s Minority Alumni Society.
