Mary Pierce advises large and small companies and executives on all aspects of labor and employment law, including:

Ms. Pierce has experience drafting personnel policies, employee handbooks, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and non-competition agreements.  Ms. Pierce also has experience conducting training on various employment law topics, including sexual harassment training and investigations, privacy matters and internet use, and confidentiality and trade secret issues.

Ms. Pierce has over ten years experience advising management on these issues, two of which were spent working in-house at a Fortune 500 food and beverage conglomerate.  Ms. Pierce’s litigation and counseling experience, particularly her in-house experience, have allowed her to devise cost-effective strategies for avoiding and resolving employee claims. 

Ms. Pierce has, in addition to representing employers in California’s federal and state courts, defended them before federal and state administrative bodies, including the California Labor Commissioner, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
