David A. Moreno, Jr. Named Rising Star by New York Law Journal
Blank Rome is pleased to share that partner David A. Moreno, Jr. has been recognized by the New York Law Journal in its 2023 New York Legal Awards.
David was recognized in the "Rising Star" category, which honors the New York legal community’s emerging leaders. Judges reviewed applications submitted on behalf of hundreds of talented attorneys and respected firms from across New York State. All of the honorees will be recognized during the New York Legal Awards on October 4, 2023, in Manhattan.
Earlier this year, David was also named a Top Lawyer Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association.

About David A. Moreno, Jr.
David Moreno is an experienced trial lawyer who represents clients in a wide range of areas, including commercial litigation, tort litigation, and white collar defense. David is also a certified contract adviser with the National Basketball Association, National Football League, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
David served as an assistant district attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office where he prosecuted more than 1,200 criminal cases and tried 13 cases to verdict. Additionally, David was a member of the Public Assistance Fraud Unit.
Since leaving the District Attorney’s office, David has tried numerous cases including personal injury matters involving soft tissue injuries, spinal fusion, and traumatic brain injuries. He also has experience representing clients in white collar matters including cross-border issues, healthcare fraud, securities fraud, and other financial crimes.
David has represented athletes in the negotiations and legal review of marketing agreements and playing contracts for several athletes as well as E-sports athletes. He has also counseled celebrities, athletes, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and companies in crisis situations. At his prior firm, David chaired the firm’s reputation management and brand protection practice.
David is dedicated to serving the members of communities often overlooked by the legal system. He serves as a mentor, motivational speaker, and teacher. In law school, David received awards for leadership, oral advocacy, trial advocacy, and was inducted into the University of Miami School of Law’s highest honor society.
